Allow visitors of your site to have the capability of finding out more about your District’s alumni. Features include a searchable database, photo gallery, alumni news and reunion postings. In addition, your District can export the alumni database to Microsoft Excel and also prepare messages to alumni members through the SchoolPointe Content Management System.

Being partners with the Ohio High School Athletic Association has opened our eyes to an ongoing issue with many school Districts - having to enter athletic event information in several different systems. With the Athletics Module we are striving to eliminate this concern by syncing with other systems, such as Schedule Star. The Athletic Director will put the event information into Schedule Star, and then a SchoolPointe user can view the events from within the Content Management System and select which ones to import into the SchoolPointe calendar. It will also feature your school's fall, winter, spring, and summer (if applicable) sports, including team information, news, photos, schedules, and printable forms. Whether you are a Schedule Star subscriber or not, make this module part of your SchoolPointe experience to save valuable time and refrain from inconsistent event information.

Give every user throughout your district the ability to have a blog.  This allows administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members to communicate more frequently about various district topics of interest. Use this new feature to show pride for your district’s various sports teams, to allow school clubs to communicate with members and school staff, and this also gives teachers the ability to continue classroom discussions with students online. One of the main benefits of our blogging feature is that it gives multiple users access to update and maintain the same blog.  

Connect with your community directly using the eCommunications Module to create e-mail alerts that will send to a list of subscribed users. A general user of your web site will create a login, select which schools they would like to be informed about, along with choosing topics of interest (e.g. school closings, newletters, etc.). The topics of interest are completely customizable by the content management system user. The user can then generate e-mails about the particular subject and choose which group of subscribers (by school) will receive the message. This is a fantastic way of reaching members of the community immediately, especially in cases of emergency notifications.

One of our highest praised modules, the eSurvey Module allows staff, students, parents and community members to respond to questionnaires (surveys) created by your District staff through the content management system. This module will allow your staff to create dynamic surveys, manage responses, and will provide detailed results reports, including graphs. This module has recently been upgraded to allow the content management system user to control the layout of each page of the survey along with a broader range of question types that may also be included in the survey.

The latest addition to SchoolPointe's content management system functionality is file storage. This new features allows your staff the ability to save documents and images to a personal file system within our content management system. File storage is a safe and convenient method to track documents or images already uploaded.

The Google (Mini) Search Module is a great tool for any District. Our server will continuously monitor on your web site, which will detect any uploaded documents and store them for fast access on a search request. We have a dedicated server to perform this action due to the importance of the users' ability to locate items on your web site. The search results will also display in an easy to read fashion, providing all the same capabilities of the actual Google search engine.

Use your Intranet to provide materials to your internal staff. Unlike the public-facing SchoolPointe Internet site, this module will be restricted to staff who have valid accounts within your District.

Empower your faculty to communicate with your students and parents at any time with the Online Classroom Module. With this module, your staff can add assignments, post blogs, receive homework, post assignment downloads and links, provide classroom news and updates, and post photos to the classroom photo gallery. This system uses the same easy-to-use content management tool that your web administrators will use to update other areas of the content management system - meaning less training time and more time posting valuable content.

Give your administration, staff and parents a secure solution for completing forms. With the Online Forms Module, parents have the option of filling out and turning in documents for their children online. This capability will allow teachers to have constant interaction with parents.   

 

The Photo Gallery Module adds excitement to your site by showing current events throughout your District. Images can be uploaded individually or in bulk (multiple images at one time) into the SchoolPointe content management system. Each images features a category, caption and ranking. In addition, all photos are automatically sized and can display in several formats.

SchoolPointe now allows any user the ability to upload videos to any area within the content management system. The true benefit of this system to users is that they will no longer have to use teacher tube or other video services. Additionally, users can modify the video to change the display height and width seen by the general public or administrative users.
